For our After Sales activities in Singapore we are searching for an operations manager. The After Sales department in Singapore is concentrating on activities related to shore-based as well as marine applications for our products.
Apart from boiler repairs we have separate departments for automation services, spare parts, industrial boilers and inert gas installations. In the repair department we concentrate on, but are in no way restricted to repairing our own Aalborg brand of boilers. Apart from that we execute repair on any kinds of boiler and/or inert gas installation.
The operations manager will report directly to the Managing Director and be part of the management team.
Main tasks in the position are:
Overall in-charge of workshop and quality control of material and repair works onboard vessels in the Singapore area
In cooperation with the sales department, responsible for execution of the projects and to ensure that materials, tools etc. are available
Ensure that projects are executed within time frames and budgets given
Ensure that all class rules, manufacturing standards etc. are strictly followed based on response from the workshop
To provide technical and project assistance to field personnel as required
Responsible for the maintenance of workshop and office building
Requirements:
We are looking for a manager who has experience in running repair and after sales orders and preferably has experience in boiler repair. Welding supervising experience is a preferred alternative.
We expect the candidate to be energetic and have good communication skills in English, both spoken and written. Skills in management of workshop activities, including project-based production, stock management, procurement and administration are also expected.
Furthermore, it is important that the candidate is independent and systematic and would like to be a part of an organisation that is goal-oriented and focused on increasing our market leading position within the marine boilers.
