The world’s leading marine boiler manufacturer – Aalborg Industries – is looking for a result-oriented and service-minded Area Sales Manager to contribute to the continuous growth of our Global After Sales business area. You will be employed in our After Sales office in Wakefield/UK, becoming a part of our global after sales team working in a dynamic and competitive market.
Tasks and challenges
As our new Area Sales Manager you will get an exciting job with many challenges. The main tasks in the position are a mix of commercial and technical tasks and responsibilities:
Proactive marketing and sales work including persistently follow-up on customer inquiries
Outgoing sales visits to customers in the direct market, responsible for inquiries, orders and follow-up
Trendsetting analysis of the market potentials and exploration of new opportunities
Strong technical support to customers regarding repair and service
Convincing sales and product presentations at shipyards and for ship owners/consultants in UK
Overall responsible for sales budget
Attendance at exhibitions and fairs
Your competences
We are looking for a self-motivating candidate with a high personal drive who thrives in an international environment. We prefer a candidate with balanced commercial, technical and marketing skills who has a relevant technical/commercial education. Experience in sales and service of marine equipment from a similar employment or the boiler/shipbuilding industry will be an advantage as you must possess a broad knowledge of marine applications such as boilers and energy equipment.
As a person you are trustworthy and through excellent communication skills you are able to build and maintain confidence with our growing number of customers. A natural flair for business is a must. Further, your work style is systematic and structured and you are loyal to the task at hand to ensure quality in the final result.
The position involves travelling (about 100 to 120 days a year) so it is important that you are flexible and in-dependent. Driving license is required. Moreover, a good understanding of Microsoft Office products is desir-able.
